Mockup Automator suite › Mockup Automator
Mockup Automator
Applies every image in one folder to every PSD mockup template in another, and exports the finished mockups. Ten artworks across eight templates is eighty files and a single run rather than eighty trips through the same steps.
First 10 exports free on the direct download, full plugin, no card required. Adobe Exchange copies are full price from install.

How do you batch mockups in Photoshop?
Put your artwork in one folder and your PSD mockup templates in another, then run a batch plugin that places every image into every template and exports the results. Ten artworks across eight templates becomes eighty finished files in a single run.
- Pick the folder holding your PSD mockup templates.
- Pick the folder holding your artwork.
- Pick an output folder for the finished mockups.
- Press Scan to check the run, then Run.

Mockup Automator
-
Three folders mockups, artwork, output
Your PSD templates in one, your images in another, and somewhere for the results. Set once and the plugin remembers them.
-
Finds the placeholder for you
Recognises the smart object names template makers actually use — “add your art”, “design”, “artwork” and seven more — and falls back to the first smart object if none match. Scan shows you which one it picked before you commit.
-
Placement four modes
Fill and crop, Contain, Stretch or Original, with horizontal and vertical alignment so a landscape artwork in a portrait frame crops where you want it to.
-
Filenames that arrive sorted
Build the output name from
{artwork},{psd}and{index}tokens, and optionally give each artwork its own subfolder, so a thirty-template run stays navigable. -
Export
JPEG or PNG with a quality setting, and an optional long-edge cap in pixels so every file comes out at a consistent size.
Four steps, start to finish
Three folders here — your PSD templates, your images, and somewhere for the finished mockups. Set them once and the plugin remembers them. Then hit Run.

The same three buttons as every plugin in the suite
Learn one and you have learned the rest. Mockup Automator is a single panel in Photoshop with folder pickers at the top, settings in the middle, and Scan, Run and Stop at the bottom — runs locally in your own copy of Photoshop, and can skip files already sitting in the output folder.
What it looks like mid-run
The panel docks in Photoshop like any other. Point it at three folders, press Run, and the log at the bottom tells you which placeholder it found in each template as it goes.
Who uses a Photoshop mockup generator?
Anyone who has to show the same artwork in more than one frame, room or product shot. A bulk mockup generator matters most when the catalogue is wide rather than deep — the work is repetitive, identical every time, and grows with every new listing.
Etsy and print-on-demand sellers
Every listing wants five or six images. Twenty designs across six mockups is a hundred and twenty files, and doing them by hand is a full day. Files short on resolution go through the upscaler first.
Photographers selling prints
A single coastal shot sells as a framed print, a canvas and a poster. The same image needs to appear in each, in several room scenes.
Designers presenting to clients
Logo and pattern work shown on stationery, packaging and signage, regenerated every time the design changes.
Anyone rebranding a shopfront
New artwork across an existing catalogue means every listing image is remade at once.
