Setup, folder structure, what every setting does, and fixes for the problems that come up most often — one section per plugin.
Read the docsBefore you email
Most problems fall into a handful of categories, and the answers are quicker to find than to wait for. The troubleshooting section of the docs covers them in more detail.
A template is being skipped Mockup Automator
The PSD almost certainly has no smart object layer for the artwork. See the setup guide for what the plugin expects from a template, and how to rename a layer so it gets picked up.
My print came out smaller than the size I picked Split 3 & Mirrored Edge
The size you choose is the finished panel or canvas, and the wrap or border is taken out of it rather than added to it. A 60 × 90 cm canvas with a 35 mm wrap shows 53 × 83 cm of image. If you need a specific visible face, add twice the wrap depth to each dimension and enter that as a custom size.
The wrap edge is the wrong depth Split 3 & Mirrored Edge
The depth has to match the stretcher bar, not the look you want. 35 mm is the usual starting point and 45 mm gives your stretcher something to grip. Ask your printer what they need before running a batch.
My upscaled files still look soft Auto Upscaler
Enlargement cannot recover detail that was never captured. Run Scan to see how far each file is being pushed — a large factor means the original is the problem, not the setting.
My watermark is a white box Watermark Automator
The logo file has a solid background rather than a transparent one. Re-export it as a PNG with transparency and run again.
My free exports have run out
The free tier covers ten exported files in total per plugin, not ten per month. In Split 3 Automator that is three complete triptychs, since each image produces three panels. Scan is free and unlimited and never counts against the allowance.
Billing and subscriptions
Paid plans are not switched on yet. The plugins currently run on the free allowance, and nothing on the pricing page is chargeable until subscriptions go live. The section below describes how billing will work when they do.
Payments will be handled by Blink, who act as the merchant of record for every plugin here. They are the name that will appear on your card statement and they issue your receipt.
You will be able to update your card, change your email address, view invoices or cancel from a customer portal linked in your receipt email.
Cancelling stops future payments, and your licence continues working until the end of the period you have already paid for, monthly or annual. Files you exported while subscribed remain yours.
Bought through Adobe Exchange? Cancel at account.adobe.com under Plans, not from Creative Cloud › Manage plugins — that screen has no billing controls, and uninstalling the plugin does not stop the billing.
Refunds
If a plugin is not what you expected, email [email protected] within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it. You do not need to explain yourself.
Reporting a problem
To get to an answer faster, include:
- Which plugin, and your operating system and your version of Photoshop
- What you expected to happen and what happened instead
- The Scan output, if the problem shows up there
- A screenshot of the panel with your settings visible
Please do not send us your artwork. We almost never need it, and we would rather it stayed on your machine.
Feature requests
Worth sending. The range grew out of jobs that were annoying to do by hand, so if something in your workflow is still taking an afternoon, tell us what it is.
Common questions
The same answers as the FAQ page, here so you can check before emailing.
Which plugin do I actually need?
Mockup Automator for listing images, your artwork shown in frames and room scenes. Mirrored Edge Automator for files going to be printed on stretched canvas. Split 3 Automator if you sell triptychs. Auto Upscaler when your originals are too small for the size you're selling. Watermark Automator for signing or protecting photos. They don't overlap.
How do I get more than one plugin?
Either buy the ones you want individually, on Adobe Exchange or direct, or buy the Mockup Automator Suite for a flat price covering all five. The Suite is direct-only, it isn't on Adobe Exchange.
Can I add a plugin later?
Yes. Each plugin, and the Suite, is its own separate subscription, so you can add or drop any of them at any time. There's no basket-based discount to recalculate, buying two doesn't cost less than buying them a month apart.
What's the difference between monthly and annual?
Price. Annual works out at roughly four to five months of monthly — $70 a year against $15 a month for Mockup Automator, $50 against $10 for the others, $95 against $30 for the Suite. Same plugins and the same limits either way.
Can I use my licence on more than one computer?
Two machines per plugin licence, intended to cover a desktop and a laptop for the same person, not a shared team licence. A Suite key gets ten activations total, since each of the five plugins activates it separately (five plugins × two machines).
What counts as an export on the free tier?
One finished file. In Mockup Automator, five artworks across two templates is ten exports and uses the whole allowance in a single run. In Split 3 Automator each image produces three panels, so ten exports is three complete triptychs.
Does Scan use up my free exports?
No. Scan writes nothing to disk and never counts against anything. Run it as often as you like.
Bought on Adobe Exchange, is there a free trial?
No. Adobe Exchange purchases are full price from install, no trial, no free tier there. The free 10-export trial only applies to the copy downloaded directly from this site.
How do I activate a licence key?
Once you've bought a plugin, or the Suite, directly, you'll get a licence key from Blink. Paste it into the activation screen shown when you open the plugin. A Suite key works in all five plugins, paste the same key into each one.
I closed the panel and can't find it again
Closing the panel just hides it, the plugin is still installed. In Photoshop, open the Plugins menu in the top menu bar and click the plugin's name to bring it back. If there's no Plugins menu on your version, check Window › Plugins instead.
What happens if I cancel?
Your licence stops working at the end of the period you've paid for, and the plugin returns to its unsubscribed state. Every file you exported while subscribed is yours to keep and use however you like.
How do I cancel an Adobe Exchange subscription?
Not from the plugin screen. Creative Cloud › Apps › Manage plugins only has Install, Enable, Disable and Uninstall — no billing controls, and uninstalling does not cancel anything. Adobe keeps billing you. Cancel at account.adobe.com, or Creative Cloud › your profile icon › Manage account, then Plans or Your subscriptions, and cancel the plugin's line item there.
Do you offer refunds?
Bought on Adobe Exchange, refunds go through Adobe's own process on your Adobe/Creative Cloud account. Bought direct, email [email protected] within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it, provided you haven't exported more than 25 files in that time, consistent with trying the plugin rather than using it for production work. If you've clearly gotten real use out of it, we may decline or ask you about it first.
